🧾 Who is this suitable for?

This service is suitable for:

• Women aged 16 and over
• Those looking to delay their period for short-term reasons (e.g. travel, events)
• Women who are not currently pregnant

🚫 Who may not be suitable?

This treatment may not be suitable if you:

• Have a history of blood clots (DVT/PE)
• Have certain medical conditions or take specific medications
• Are already using certain types of hormonal contraception

Our pharmacist will carry out a confidential consultation to ensure this treatment is safe and appropriate for you.

💊 How to take the tablets

• Take one 5mg tablet, three times a day
• Start 3 days before your period is due
• Continue for the duration you wish to delay your period (up to 27 days)

👉 If started too late (less than 3 days before), it may not work effectively.

⚠️ Important Information

• Does NOT act as contraception — you can still become pregnant
• Should be used occasionally, not regularly
• If your period has already started, this treatment will not stop it

⚠️ Possible Side Effects

Some people may experience:

• Nausea
• Breast tenderness
• Headaches
• Mood changes
• Irregular bleeding or spotting
